Visiting the Toronto area. Looking for breakfast in the Scarborough area and found this place on Yelp. Was a tiny hole in the wall... which could have turned out to be a hidden gem... But instead this place was a little disappointing based on our expectations (high reviews on Yelp)
First the positive... The service was excellent. I would have rated the place 5 stars for the service alone.
The place was almost full when we arrived. We were seated way in the back next to a party which really should have opted to go to a larger establishment. We were uncomfortable but our server tried to move us twice to give us more acceptable seating. She did her best.
The menu was large. I ordered a Spanish omelette. Hubby ordered the meat lovers plate. My son ordered a steak and eggs. The steak was a very thin pan fried steak lacking seasoning. My omelette was tasty and the potatoes were good. Overall, the food was okay. On a positive note, the portions were large.
One more note... To get to the ladies room, you must walk through a door... Down some stairs and through 2 more doors (both which were open, the one closest to the stalls was propped open with a fire extinguisher). Quite strange. I felt uncomfortable to leave the doors open as the womens bathroom was steps away from the men's bathroom! But the doors were old and I was afraid to get locked inside especially since it was downstairs. Not a pleasant bathroom experience. LOL! -

I was here once sometime around 18 years ago. Looking at the pictures posted, I find it unlikely the place has gotten better since that time.
Service was fine, it was essentially empty so it better have been!
The food was generic restaurant supply food cooked badly.
The place stank. Since it was about 18 years ago, it either stinks worse now or they fixed the smell.
Really, I should find the girl that suggested going there 18 years ago and give her a kick in her ass. It's especially annoying because I could have had very good food for free at my own restaurant. -

Im a regular here the food is fantastik the portions are huge.Service is amazing everyone so friendly.Just had Eggs Benny best I ever had.

Has become a regular part of Sunday mornings as it's on the way to Church. Things tend to be a bit over cooked, so be specific about how you like it done. Staff always accommodating and attentive without hovering. Something for everyone. Friendly but some of the regulars tend to be noisy.
